Description
When doing your reline job with Homesaver Pro or UltraPro chimney liner, you will need a Forever Flex Collar Plate to top off your job. The collar plate serves two purposes. First, it seals the old flue at the top of your chimney so nothing can get in around your chimney liner. Second, it has a built in clamp that supports your liner from the top of the chimney. You simply tighten the clamp around the liner to hold it firmly into place.
The Forever Flex Collar Plate is available in 9 different sizes and goes with liners in diameters of 3″ to 8″. If your liner has a diameter of more than 8″ you will need to use the standard Homesaver top/bottom plate with a top clamp and a storm collar.
How to Measure for Your Forever Flex Collar Plate
When choosing a Top plate, be sure to choose a size that is right for your installation. To do this, you will need to take a tape measure to the top of your chimney. Measure the Width and Length of the flue area that your plate will cover. Once you have these measurements, choose a plate that will cover the flue opening completely plus leave at least an inch or two of plate to rest on the chimney top. Be sure to order the right size collar diameter to match your chimney liner.
