Description
All Homesaver and Gelco single flue chimney caps require at least one inch of clay flue liner protruding above the chimney crown. Any less than one inch of tile will not allow the base bolts to attach to the tile properly. So, what do you do when the tile doesn’t meet the one inch requirement? The solution is “Flue Grippers”.
Flue Gripper Installation
Flue Grippers are made to attach directly to the base of the cap using the cap base bolts. Once attached to the base of the cap, you position the cap over the flue and slide the Flue Grippers down into the chimney flue. The Flue Grippers will grip the inside of the flue tile and hold your chimney cap in place.
Unlike a standard installation where the base bolts hold the cap firmly in place, installations using Flue Grippers may not be totally secure in extremely high winds.
Flue Grippers can be used with all sizes of Homesaver and Gelco single flue caps. They come in either 12 gauge stainless or galvanized steel and come in a pack of 4.
