These high quality single caps are heavily built with 18 Gauge galvanized steel for the base and 3/4 inch mesh. The lid is 24 gauge galvanized steel. The lid features picture frame embossing as well as a shallow channel for added strength.
These galvanized chimney caps are made to sit on a single clay flue liner. It attaches to the tile with 4 gripping bolts. The bolts thread through welded base nuts in the 18 gauge base plate. For this to work, at least 1 inch of the clay flue liner must extend above the chimney crown. Each galvanized chimney cap is sized to fit specific outside liner dimensions. Be sure to choose the correct cap for your flue size.

Installation
